Woodworm Treatment
There are four main woodworm species;
- Common furniture beetle (Anobium punctatum) - the most common and accounts for 75% of infestation
- Wood boring weevil (Pentarthrum huttoni)- likes wet and damp areas
- Death watch beetle(Xestobium rufovillosum) - likes hardwoods and most common in older timber framed properties
- House longhorn beetle (Cerambycidae)- the largest but generally found in the south of the country.
